Designing for all five senses
The change of season brings a spectacle that is pure delight for the senses. Nature reveals itself in all splendour, evoking the warm well-being of home life.
We enjoy the connection with those unique emotions from our private spaces. Feeling at peace inside the home has become a new luxury.
Accompanied by the serene rhythm of the Mediterranean lifestyle, villa San Eduardo, a project developed in cooperation with Euroobjekt, is defined by the firm beauty of natural materials, essential shapes, colours and textures.
¨When we design a project, we first get a feel of the people who will live in the house, the location of the building, the views, the seasons, and the architecture, in order to determine the key codes and capture them instinctively. Focusing on the experience, we create an emotional map of space and appeal to all five senses through elements, colours and textures that have the right connotations¨-explains Carmen Pujol, Creative Director of Terraza Balear.
The neutrals come first to build up a strong canvas. The sun-kissed, bakery brown, taupe and linen gray tones give a whole new dimension to texture layers that bring interest and depth to the interiors.
The warmth of the first greeting
Right at the entrance, you are welcomed by the warmth of the natural wood door and the smoothness of the steel of the door handle, the first handshake of the building.
The open space concept on the ground floor invites you to have a close and lively connection with the main area of the house, while enjoying maximum hours of sunlight.
Creating an atmosphere of warmth and wellbeing
Designed around timeless and monolithic center elements, the living room invites you to pause for a moment and experience the space. How does it feel?
Safe, cozy, calm, inviting to relax and put your feet up, with textures that evoke a feeling of warmth and security. Wool, suede and soft velvet, a tactil pleasure for the senses, invite you to snuggle up and drown in them.
Focus on the emotion
The dining room and kitchen bring out different character traits, but at the same time follow the general feel of the space. Carmen shares, “We spent a lot of time analyzing family patterns, how we live and what makes us most comfortable. The focus is on the experience and emotions in every zone”.
In this space, we strive to be attentive, open, conversational, energized and in control. Metal, stone and natural wood set the right tone and contrast without overloading the space.
In this space, we want to be attentive, open, talkative, energetic, and in control.
The Jens dining chairs from B&B Italia and the Marley stools from Flexform are both designed by Antonio Citterio. The Mito Phantom luminaires are from Occhio and the kitchen is Alea Pro by R&D Poliform.
The conscious mood to experience the outdoor
The sun-filled Master Bedroom is all about natural light. There is nothing like daylight when it comes to well-being. Blue in the morning and golden in the evening it is to accompany natural biorhythms for the best relaxation and recovery.
Sunlight to accompany the natural biorhythms
Pause. Relax. Feel the moment. ¨Sitting on the terrace, enjoying the fresh air, listening to the gentle rustle of the trees and murmur of the water, smelling the different seasons of the grass, letting your gaze wander and losing yourself in the blue of the sea – that is what we thought the pausing is about¨- Creative Director sets the mood.
For outdoor furniture, contemporary simplicity meets nature. All pieces are from Tribù by Studio Segers: sofa and side table Natal Alu, loungers Forum, armchairs, and dining chairs Mood. Of particular interest is the charismatic side table Hexagon by MERCKX & MAES from Tribù.
